Hall of Fame

In November, select MESA students were able to participate in the SEMI High Tech U student program. The program was sponsored by Applied Materials and Intel in collaboration with San Jose State University. The goal of High Tech U was to excite high school students about math and science based careers. The students were able to learn about the fundamentals of semiconductor manufacturing, the economics of the industry and school/career options.

At the conclusion of the program, MESA Student Alma Acosta of the Washington Square chapter was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be used upon pursual of a math or science based college degree. Alma won this scholarship through a vote of other student participants as to who might be most worthy of such esteem.  Congratulations Alma!
